Introduction:

This website is dedicated to give you an idea how screenplays are made. As I explained in my youtube video, I began to watch movies and at the same time read scripts to get a better understanding of how movies are produced. When you do both, you get to see the details of how the various scenes are set up combined with how the dialogue of each character is portrayed. Added to this and most importantly, is the developement of the story or how the plot is developed by the various elements that make a movie.

There are three acts, 1st act is the introduction of the characters of who they are by developing what the main characters goals are and how all of the other characters are involved in one way or another. 2nd act is the "conflict" meaning the struggle that the main character goes through in order to achieve the intended goal. Finally, the 3rd act is the "resolution". In other words, the main character reaches the intended goal and how the conflict is resolved.

Defintions:

When you start to read the scripts there are standard basic abbreviations that are used. They are:

INT.      INTERIOR.            The scene is shot inside of a building or a facility
EXT.     EXTERIOR.              The scene is filmed on the outside at any location
FLASHBACKS:                     Based on a past memory of a particular event
SPECIAL EFFECTS               Utilizes special digital computerized imagery
(V.O. =Voiceover)               You hear the voice only and not the character
Using capital letters:       Means identifying who the actors or using extra actors that are required to be filmed
(Cont)                                   Either the dialogue or scene is on the next page
More                                    Either more of dialogue or more of scene discription

(Speech Type)                      Either type of accent or type of electronic speech

H-1 Mode   It is the year 2400 and it takes place at a corporation named H-1 Mode Technologies. The corporation is owned by two unseemly executives who do not get along. The main plot is a "who done it" murder mystery on a grand scale that involves the main character and his family. There is a surprise ending. Others It is a UFO story during World War II. The story is about two mothers who are brought together by a profound set of circumstances and how they build a relationship of trust. One being a alien commander and the other is women who owns a farm and who is facing adversities. Screenplay Audios Only
Some of you may want to listen to the script because it will be easier but at the same time it will give you a good idea of how the script is written. I must admit this alternative works really well. The playback speed is set just little bit faster than normal speed. In other words, it goes at a good clip so you will get a feel for the story. The audio players are underneath. You will be able to play and pause by the play indicator. Added to this, you will also be able to play any portion by placing the mouse on the black dot on audio playback bar.
